Crankset manufacturer with a flag logo?
Some guy dropped off some pretty high-end stuff in the co-op today, and included were these cranks with a flag logo and nothing else on the other side (aside from the length).
Here's a poor cellphone photo of 'em:
(or here)
Anyone have a clue who made these cranks?

Specialized, but they didn't make them they were contracted by...somebody in Japan, either Sugino or...yes it was Sugino. They are very nice cranks and nicely finished

You're correct, they're Sugino made cranks for a Specialized MTB. They came on Rockhoppers and Stumpjumpers from approx 84 to 87. They're standard 110/74 BCD cranks. So, they're easy to get replacement rings for.

They look a lot like Superbe Pro - did Sugino also make those for Suntour?
(I don't have all my good bike links here at work)
And don't be putting those Campy dustcaps out on some co-op bike. Sell those and buy 10 plain sets.

Right. Sugino was the OEM maker of the Specialized cranks for road and off-road bikes. I seem to remember they had a triple, too. Sugino also made the beautiful SunTour Superbe cranks.

Hi folks.. just as a note, I don't own these cranks. They're were donated to the co-op and no one knew what the logo was. Sorry if you were looking for parts.
