Nitto Noodle model number

Hello all.

Nitto handlebar question here. I just picked up a set of handlebars from the used parts bin that seem to be the Nitto Noodle 46cm. The question I have is that the model number stamped is “Mod. No 177”. I have always seen them stamped “b.177.” Anyone know what if any is the difference?

the 46 and 48cm are heat treated. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
