I'm about 1000 miles into working in a Brooks with a cut out. I should have stayed with my well worn B17 Standard. I'm dying on the new one. That plastic one might be an improvement.

1969 Raleigh Super Course - $95 (Stayton)

This is not a cheap, dept store bike, its well made, has a good ride and is durable: WTB a Raleigh Super Course? Want a bike with Reynolds 531 light weight, steel tubing, but don't like the the $300 or $400 pricing? I overhauled the hubs on this bike, fresh grease and bearings. Tires are good and have held air for several weeks. Bike is rideable, brakes and shifts OK, with a shabby but comfortable, Avocet Touring saddle. Still needs a clean & wax/polish, but if its going to be a campus commuter, it will be less attractive to thieves as is. The original derailleurs are upgraded and it has a Stronglight Crankset. Ornate Nervex lugs, 23" seat tube, 33" standover height. Bike should fit someone 5'11" to 6'3" depending on your leg/trunk proportions. Will include a kickstand and rear rack if you want them. $95 NO Haggle Price. You won't find a better buy for the $$

Classic Follis Bicycle - $135 (Stayton)

Follis was an Italian cycling company in Turin that relocated to Lyon, France When Mussolini came to power. They were known for their quality, high end bicycles. This model was just one up from their entry level, but is a 25 pound bike. Should fit someone 5'6" to 5'8" depending on your leg/trunk proportions. Wheel hubs have been overhauled with fresh grease and bearings. It has bar end shifters and its Derailleurs have been upgraded by provious owners. Mafac "Racer" brakes and levers, Nisi "Toro" alloy rims. Rides, shifts and brakes OK. Has a comfortable saddle by Specialized. The bar tape, cables and sheaths, are functional, new would be prettier, but then I would need to charge another $100. If it doesn't sell at this price, that will be my next step. I'm an old man who enjoys fixing bikes. $135 No Haggle price. Don
