I came across this bike and thought about fixing it up but do not really have the time and its been sitting in the basement. So i figured I'd try to sell it. I don't know much about the bike or what its really worth so this is what I'm going to try. I'll leave this post up for a week or so. If you are interested make me an offer. If i get multiple offers I'll let you know what the others are offering. and hopefully it sells. Thanks for looking at my post. If you buy it cash only and I can meet you in a public place within reason.

57cm Bianchi project bike - $100 (Somerville)

This is a nice Japanese-made (~1984) Bianchi road frame (57cm c-t x 57cm tt) with butted Ishiwata tubing throughout. Needs new bottom bracket and (possibly) rear wheel.

Frame is straight, with horizontal Suntour dropouts and fender/rack brazeons.

Comes with rear rack, fenders, a nice SR triple crank, alloy seatpost (no saddle), alloy bars/stem/levers, recent long-cage Shimano derailleur, and fairly new Kevlar-belted tires on box-section rims.

This will make a great commuter or fixed-gear conversion.

I don't know a lot about French bikes, but this price for a 531 frame seems quite nice...$275 Gitane TDF...I am unable to view these pictures at work, so unsure as to condition.

You are looking at a Centurion Ironman Dave Scott road bike. This is a rare vintage race bike that rides amazingly well. The components are all shimano 600. That includes Shimano 12 speed 600 shifters, derailluers, brakes, brake levers, hubs, headset, crank. It has New Michelin dynamic 700x28c tires, Minoura pedals with clips, Araya rims, and a Selle San Marco saddle that retails for over $100! The Frame is a 58cm Tange cro-mo seamless double butted tubing that rides like a dream. I can guarantee this frame rides better that any other aluminum frame. If you have any questions, email me or call 717-653-5067. Thanks.

Just got home and found this beaut. I've got the cash but it's too tall for me. I think it's a killer deal for a Ti Miyata frame with decent components on it. I don't think it'll last long at that price.

Nice. You should facilitate the crap out of that thing for someone. Not me, though. Lol.

I had no clue Trek made mixtes back in the day.

Re: the Portland voyageur frameset. Oof.

I wouldn't facilitate that for anyone because I'd come in with cheap-a$$ guns blazing. "Dude, you lazy Portlander, you rattle canned this, then dropped it, then decided against doing anything with it, and you want $60? Here's $20 and a bottle of beer. You're welcome." Also kind of funny how dramatically lit the photo is.

It doesn't have the red front end of later model years, so I'm guessing it is the 1990 with aluminum stays and fork.

The catalog lists 2cm increments, and I bet that is the 58cm.

thirdgenbird 01-21-11 11:37 PM

if it were a 60cm bare frameset i would be tempted.

It was made for 1 year in 1984. Only 2 sizes, 19 and 21" frame. I flipped one last October. A nice girl bought it. She said her boyfriend told her it was "very cool". And it was.
