looking for something unusual and expensive? ... vintage feel to it, but seems like quite a stretched riding position.

Wooden bicycle

[h=2]Wooden bicycle - $700 (Wakefield)[/h]

Handmade wooden bicycle. Plywood over hard pink foam. Laminated half inch solid stock inside ply from about 6" behind both the head set and the one piece bottom bracket forward to beef it up at those places. Chrome seat pan and leather seat pad and saddle bags that I made too. Racing bars and front caliper brake and coaster brake on rear. Pro auto body paint job in sea foam green. New white 24" HALO thin rail tires and new rims. Leather trim. It still a work in progress and could use a little tweaking. I don't really have the time to do that. So, its not being ridden. I designed and built this myself and imho, I think its pretty cool. A couple of nicks from when I was working on it. I didn't always have a second pair of hands when I could have used them. It a bit bulky and its not built for speed but rides like a Caddy. Call with any questions. Thanks for looking.

Don't know anything about Ross's model line, or if the price ($350) is decent, but this looks to be a fairly nice looking bike. It's got Shimano 600 Arabesque bits. Not my favorite color, but it's not like you can special order a new one from the factory.

Vintage Ross Super Gran Tour XV Ishiwata 024, 600 Arabesque group

[QUOTE=Rocket-Sauce;16737337]This just makes me sad....

Quite the opposite - every bike should be used up. What's the point of just looking at them?

Not worth $350 at least in my mind. Ishiwata 024 tubing was nothing special, I had 022 tubing on a bike and that was better tubing and was found on a mid grade bike thus 024 is low end on the Ishiwata CroMoly tube sets and the heaviest.

Great retro hip city bike with French flare. Fenders, awesome wing nuts for the wheels, front & rear Soubritz lights work with generator, braze-ons for wiring, cables, generator, spoke lock (no key), and pump. Weinmann Dynamic brakes, Huret front derailuer, Huret Svelto rear derailuer, Pivo stem, fenders, and bell. 32'' stand-over height for top tube.

Cruise the city in style.

Miyata 1000 - $425 (West suburb- Minneapolis, MN)

Miyata 1000

1982 Miyata 1000 frame size is 58cm or 23".
Fairly rare and highly collectible.
Normal wear on the paint for this vintage. Drivetrain and bearing show very little to no wear.
40 spokes rear wheel for touring duty. Entirely original as far as I can tell.
Email or call/text contact listed if interested.
Thanks,

Go now. Won't last long. Looks to have new brake pads and ride-able tires. If its your grail bike it won't come along again that close to you.

Not my grail year, as I'd want all the bottle cage braze ons and low rider mounts, but it's a damn fine specimen! I'm at the limits of my garage space for now anyways.

Gitane mixte, $65. Check bike inside out - I bought couple of bikes from this guy - his idea of refurbish is to dump bike into WD-40 bath and go over with rug after. But he has some cool frames sometimes at OK prices

'87 Circuit in PDX for $100. The last thing I need right now is a project, but this bike deserves new life. Someone get on it!

[h=2]Vintage Schwinn Circuit 57 - $100 (Montavilla)[/h]

condition: good size / dimensions: 57

Black steal frame. Top tube 56 c to c Seat tube 57 c to c.

Wheels are mismatched and tires are throw aways. Clearance is pretty tight with 700x25 tires and the custom fender job. Everything works, newer Ritchey handlebars and threadless quill stem adaptor.
