internal routing makes a cleaner line and is intended for aerodynamics on race bikes

Yeah, but modern bikes cost way too much. I could do some braze-ons for cable guides, but that would take too much time, for paint stripping brazing, cleaning up, than painting again. Besides that I don't have exact paint to paint that area. So whole bike would have to be redone.
