Thank Versus for Cyclism Sunday's and coverage of various races. I am now in withdrawl after 3 weeks of TDF. I would watch the TDF in the morning and ride in the afternoon. I actually would have liked more expanded coverage. Can never get enough. Would be nice if they cover TOM in September just in case I don't make it down to watch a stage.

Will be interesting to see which team picks up Alberto next season. I knew it would never work with Lance and Alberto on the same team, plus Levi is coming into his own as well. A lot of good young talent coming up the ranks. Not long before we will be seeing Taylor Phinney at higher level racing. Hope they ride pure in their careers!!!!

Bikes: too many now

coverage was excellent. reality and commercials suck, but they made an effort and often had 30 minutes and more commercial free coverage at the crucial times.

plus, doesn't everyone have DVR? skip those caddy ads! i did. well, after watching them once in slow motion (that sultry voice.....)

I somehow managed to block those caddy ads out of my mind. 21 days of watching and I legitimately cannot recall seeing any of those commercials.

Versus is great.....but you have to watch...I sort of look at it like me watching F-1. The learning curve was high..lol I thought wholy crap!

You'll get there....takes time...read BF and you can learn A LOT....

There are so many races inside the race....

Remember some years ago when the total nutter ran onto the course at the British F1 Grand Prix race? Just goes to prove that all of the idiots are not just in the USA

I expect that the TV coverage has done a lot to encourage the spectators trying to be the show rather than the race itself.

This was the first TDF I can remember since testing started without a single reported drug bust. Not even any reported police raids on team hotels.

July 21 quote from Lance Armstrong's Twitter account.

Team truck stopped at border 2day and searched for 3 hrs. At the end they said, "why do you have this olive oil?". Really?

Bikes: Road, touring and mountain

Versus has been the only channel to offer bicycle racing. They are showing not only the tour, but OK coverage of the spring classics and the Tour of California. Sponsors are aware of the audience potential and are supporting the programming. It's the way broadcast TV works, we are much better off with this than no coverage at all.

I chuckled at the Quizno's commercials, thought the VW ads were interesting and liked the Cannondale spots. Commercial breaks are also a great time to get up to pee and get more Cherrios.

I guess steel isn't as real as it once was

I saw him on saturday and had to stop to see him. Hes such a nice guy and was very busy posing for photos with children. We got a short video of him on the tandem and I got a quick photo too although I wish I had got the good camera out my rucksack now.

I dunno, but I'm hoping they bring along some young guys like Justin England, a guy with charisma....

It sometimes takes weeks to get all the testing done. A number of riders (15) are under suspicion from before the Tour. The UCI is also testing some of last year's samples.

I want the testers to do such a complete job of exposing the cheats that nobody would dare to do it in the future. Nothing is more frustrating than to find out the guy you helped push up that mountain with all your cheering and prayers was a doper.
