ID my Paramount
i bought a schwinn paramount off craigslist a few days ago, i've been on the waterford website but i couldn't decipher the serial number on the head tube,
serial number on the headtube : 1E02323
the head set is a shimano 105 and the BB looks like a shimano
on the top tube "series 5 PDG"
on the down tube " paramount"
on the seat tube near the top tube " OS"
on the seat tube near the BB a sticker "tange road os"
on the rear dropouts stamped "tange TR"
When was this bike produced? low end or high end bike?
thanks eveyone.

There are Schwinn catalogs from that era on line. Your bike is in the mid range.Kind of sounds like a 92. Check out the catalogs and you will find it.

The PDG Series 5 and Series 7 Paramounts were built by National/Panasonic in Japan. The Series 2 and Series 3 were initially built by A-Pro Tech, Ltd. on Taiwan and later Shenzhen China.
