It makes a bad noise when.....

you set your front derailler a little too low and it rubs on the top of the big chainring. Not real good on the chainring either.....

Bikes: Upright and Recumbent....too many to list, mostly Vintage.

Just stick with the baseball card in the spokes...its way less 'maintenance intensive'
