Bikes: 1962 Rudge Sports, 1971 Raleigh Super Course, 1971 Raleigh Pro Track, 1974 Raleigh International, 1975 Viscount Fixie, 1982 McLean, 1996 Lemond (Ti), 2002 Burley Zydeco tandem

I don't see the appeal of spending so much on handlebars. What's wrong with the inexpensive ones? They have the same bend.

I've been riding North Road bars on my Super Course commuter bike, but I think I'll prefer flat bars that make my palms face forward rather than facing each other. I've had to wrap my fingers around the brake levers to pedal hard, which indicates that flat bars would suit me better.

The Rivendell Nitto bars are priced quite reasonable. I was looking for such bars for a long time! I have that setup on nearly all my bikes.

I'm talking about $14 at Niagara. What could be bad?

Which Rivendell Nitto bars are you talking about. Rivendell sells nothing but Nitto. I know you can't mean the Bullmoose bars!

The Albatross of course. They sell em in both cro-mo and aluminum versions. My favorite Nitto bar!

I know they're heat treated, but I'm not sure I'd call $60+tax+shipping reasonable.

They don't even give member discounts anymore.

Nothing could be wrong. That's exactly what I was refering to a few posts ago.
