1988 Univega Gran Tech?

Anyone have any info on this model? I tried a search, but couldn't come up with much info. I'm looking to possibly help a friend purchase one locally. Thanks!

Nice riding bike with 55cm seat tube and 56cm toptube. Look pedals(will switch if spds are preferred), Specialized Body Geometry seat, Ultegra derailleurs and brakes. New chain, old tires with good tread. I can provide newer tires for $10 if you want them. White paint with factory paint splatter theme. Not a looker, makes a nice commuter or stealth urban rider. Fits someone about 5'6"-5'11".

I have a Univega Nuovotech and the Gran Tech might just be the same frame with better components. If so, it would be aluminum main triangle bonded with chromoly stays. The white might even be the same pearl color as mine. It had full Exage while this is some Ultegra.

Decent 700c aluminum/steel bike but I prefer all steel. This was on Crigslist and I found the price to be a bit high.

Yep, I think it's aluminum with chromoly rear stays and fork. I think the Gran Tech 6400 came with Shimano 600 components, so the Ultegra RD and brakes are probably upgrades. I was looking at this posting myself...seems like a pretty good deal to me .
