Shimano 7 to 8 speed? Help?

The other day, I picked up a $20 Schwinn 684.
All Shimano 105.
7 speed.

I have stripped it down & plan on selling/trading away everything.

But, I've decided that I want to keep the wheels. 32 spoke Wolber TX Profile in decent shape.

Now my current ride is 8 speed, and I'd like to put these Wolbers on for touring. But it has a 7 speed cassette. I've got a spare 8 speed, though... will it just slip right on and be good to go? Or am I going to have to buy a different rear hub and lace it on to get back to 8 speed?

I just did this. I swapped the freehub body from an 8 speed wheel along with the axle setup. It is super easy - you just need a 10mm allen wrench to remove the hub body. I don't think the 8 speed cassette will fit on the 7 speed freehub body - at least mine didn't?

Yeah, my 8 is just one too wide... (go figure! )
I cannot see any place to put a 10mm allen
