New member needs help identifying Old Bianchi
Hello, I'm new to this forum and I was looking for help trying to identifying my old Biachi. I got the bike sans wheels, cranks, BB, and all derailer componets, so I don't know what originally came on it. The bike is not the classic Bianchi green but rather a metal flake emerald green with old style water applied decals that are red with white outlines on the seat tube and down tube. It came with TTT bars and stem and universal center pull brakes. I believe it was originally set up for 27" wheels but I have converted it to 700's thus I had to change out the brakes. The bike does have braze ons for shifters and rear brakes. The dropouts are just stamped steel with no markings on them nor is the Bianchi name stamped into anywhere on the bike. It is only identifyable by the decals. I know such features are indicators of a lower quality bike, but I just plain have no idea on what model it could be or how old it possibly is. The frame seems light for it's age and possible quality level. I will try and get a picture up as soon as possible. Any help would be great.
