I have some 700c wheels that I would like to put on these but they are like 5-10 mm to wide.
Is it alright to stretch the drops so the wheels fit? and is there away to stretch the fork as well?

I am 99% sure that that is not a French bike. What you have is a Japanese built bike , with a French Ideale saddle. I have a feeling, based on the down tube shifter welded stop, that it is a Vista brand bike. Also the lugs are typical Japanese type. Very few French bikes came with Japanese components, with the exception of Motobecane. Nice bike with very good parts.

I was totally wrong then haha, I wasn't sure because I don't know much about older bikes buti love them.I just never seen this type of headset so i just figured.

The lugs almost look like they are not forged but made of stamped steel that was pressed and welded, specially at the top head lug. Am I corect?

With the exception of the front derailleur, the component selection and serial format is the same as the mid-1970s Centurion LeMans models.

Is there a way to coldset or do something else to make a 700c wheel fit into the forks?
