help identify bike

Pick this up for 10 bucks today , believe its a french bike
repainted, front logo of bike gone.
components are Suntour Cyclone Front derailluar, Suntour V-GT luxe, Tourney Cranks, Tange headset, SR stem, Dia-Compe brakes, 27" wheels, Ideale Seat, CUstom seat post
It has no ID on it expect something on the seattube which says E110.
here are pics

I have some 700c wheels that I would like to put on these but they are like 5-10 mm to wide.
Is it alright to stretch the drops so the wheels fit? and is there away to stretch the fork as well?

I am 99% sure that that is not a French bike. What you have is a Japanese built bike , with a French Ideale saddle. I have a feeling, based on the down tube shifter welded stop, that it is a Vista brand bike. Also the lugs are typical Japanese type. Very few French bikes came with Japanese components, with the exception of Motobecane. Nice bike with very good parts.

Bikes: 1986 Alan Record Carbonio, 1985 Vitus Plus Carbone 7, 1984 Peugeot PSV, 1972 Line Seeker, 1986(est.) Medici Aerodynamic (Project), 1985(est.) Peugeot PY10FC

The lugs almost look like they are not forged but made of stamped steel that was pressed and welded, specially at the top head lug. Am I corect?

With the exception of the front derailleur, the component selection and serial format is the same as the mid-1970s Centurion LeMans models.

Is there a way to coldset or do something else to make a 700c wheel fit into the forks?
