Peugeot PX-10 Fork Replacement

Hello... Long time lurker, first time poster.
I bought a 74 PX-10LE frame and fork off of craigslist a while back and am just now getting around to building it up... until... I found out that the front fork has a severely cracked crown (which was covered up with nail polish). This is a major drag because I love the look of the old PX-10 chromed fork ends, and obviously because it brought the project to an abrupt halt.
So, I had two questions. Would anyone out there happen to have a white PX-10 fork that would fit a 62cm frame in white? Fat chance but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.
In lieu of that have any of you replaced the forks on a PX-10 and ended up with a result that you were happy with? Were any of you able to maintain the chromed fork ends look? Might you be able to share what you used/recommend as a replacement.
I thank you in advance for your feedback.
