27.0 seatposts

My '88 Bridgestone has a 27.0 seatpost.Which the PO gnarled up with ViceGrips (and it certainly a vice to use those things) removing it for shipping.Apparently not a common size these days.Peter White has some Nittos in 27.0 and there's a few out there from manufacturers that I don't recognize. While it's not necessary to finish up the rebuild I'm still looking to replace it 'cause it's ugly.Any suggestions?

Loose Screws sells a variety of seatposts; the Kalloy micro adjust ones aren't bad for the price...

vintage campy can always be had with enough patience. In fact I gave an aero one in disuse, but it has some scratches on it, but still they are out there, seen regularly enough on ebay.

If you want a zero setback, there's an ebay seller of cheap posts based on the 2-bolt Thomson/Syncros design - chasertech IIRC. Come in every size. I bought one in a 25.8? and it seemed to be an OK post for $15. The clamp was a little bit of a pain in comparison to the real thing, but it worked.

I've got a decent one that isn't doing anything - PM me if interested.

I may have one. Email me at noglider@pobox.com if you're interested. If you have a 27.2 to trade, I'd be super-interested.
