Not trying to pick a fight, but wouldn't one generally have a greater attachment to your SO than to material things?

My wife will occasionally as if I've gotten another bike, or will ask me to move them if they're in a really bad place. I haven't had to engage in a persuasion campaign. Guess she accepts them as something that is important to me, and that's enough.

Of course, she does recognize that riding is one of my primary exercise activities, and I think she's a bit in awe that I can ride a bike for the better part of a day.

Anyone got tips on getting a middle-aged lady with excellent balance and no propensity to set aside the occasional task to try to learn how to ride a bike?

Actually, I have never owned a "bike" before this Winter. I used to own none. My Karate Monkey is the only "complete" bike I own. Front and rear derailleurs, front and rear brakes. everything else that a complete bike needs to have. The rest are just parts; even though some "groups" of parts have been spatially contiguous for some time. Many piles of parts I store next to, and on top of, and attached to each other. I have even been known to ride some of those piles of parts. But I own just one complete bike. That is my story and I am sticking to it.

I just plan on staying single. The n+1 rule seems to bother room mates a lot less than SO's.

This wins creativity points, for sure. So, for example, if you flip the quick release lever, it's no longer a bike?

You are making this harder than it needs to be. Just remove the dorkdisk. Voila!

Are hookers typically photographed in front of a white garage door as well?
