Help Identifying Raleigh Frame?

First off I would just like to say hello to everyone as this is my first post. I aquired this frame last week from a friend, obviously the forks, wheels and seatpost were added at a later date, but the rest of the components are shimano 600ex ultegra which is the correct age, which I believe is 1988.

I would like to find out what this bike is, as I would like to restore it to as near as original as possible.

The only details on the frame are;

Cinelli Stamped BB Shell
A Product of Raleigh Ltd England Decal
A Reynolds 531c Decal
Serial: WG8000373

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

The # indicates that it was made in '87 so it could've been an '88 model. Somebody else may recognize the paint scheme. I recal seeing bikes similar around those years and since but can't be exact. 531 tubing is quite good, there was a better tubeset in that year though. I think the bike's fine as is.

Good luck finding origianal parts and WELCOME to the Forums !

Bikes: Crap. The box is not big enough...

an, ah, interesting build you've got there. The seatstay caps look like Raleigh of England offerings, and I wouldn't argue with the dating. Worksop, then?

could this have been original paint? I've never seen another like it.
