No, it is not "super good". It is in the lower end/low middle of their product line. I have had several Fujis this year, including a Royale. Go to the vintage Fuji site for more information.

Note, most of the Fuji product line is pretty good.

My first Fuji, I've had it since 1979. A good, solid all around bike, I think it would make a great commuter.

It's definitely not low-end. Chromed forks and stuff, Suntour Vx on my '81 model.

For more info, Google Classic Fujis, there's a good website out there with lots of catalogs and stuff.

It's a good 'boomer-bike' from that period. Friend of mine had one. Always brought it to me for tuning and overhauling. It's made with good quality components. Nice Suntour derailleurs. No major problems - even though my friend rode it like a maniac.

Not a bad bike. I have one, and it reminds me of an improved version of the popular Fuji "Special Road Racers" (S-10-S & S-12-S) I had back in the '70s. It is "middle of the road", but so is the Toyota Camry & Honda Accord for that matter. Nice riding, solid & dependable bike.

The catalog for 1981 ...

The bike itself...$325 in 1981? If so, not cheap back then.

I remember I paid $279 for my '79 Royale. I wanted an America but it's price was a bit too high for me.
I've certainly gotten my moneys worth out of it.
