Eddy Merckx - HELP Needed and Advice
Hi Folks
Recently purchased this Eddy Merckx bike. I know very little about it and am having a problem dating it and finding exactly which model it is. Unfortunately stickers have been removed from the bike making it a little more difficult.
There is a serial number underneath BB which reads 96 682 and G1865.
I have a feeling that it could be a 1993 Corsa (02) and I am saying this because it has Shimano 600 Groupset and I understand that 1993 was when the bikes came with Shimano 600 Groupset.
If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
Trying to download photo but having a problem.

Looks like an Alu Team or Alu Sprint.
Serial number doesn't fit with the Tears for Gears database https://www.tearsforgears.com
I would have put it more recent than 1993 other than the 600 Group.

Thanks for the assistance. From what I have found out you may be on the right path. It is definately a Alu frame. Managed to get hold of local company who has emailed EM in Belgium direct for more info.
Will post exactly what EM it is as soon as I know more
