QUick Q: What's this Cable Guide for?
I found this on the Gran Sport I'm cleaning up. The frame has brazed on guides, so I don't know what. It has one cable guide on one side - but two cable guides on the other?!?! And it was mounted on the seatpost, but the way the guides are situated...it didn't make sense. See on the side facing the camera - there's the long guide, and then behind it is a second short guide...

I was thinking of making the bike all campy, so maybe I can use this somewhere on the bike?

also for the front derailleur cable, imagine the cables going parallel down the downtube, the left one hits the first guide, which angles it toward the second, and up to the derailleur.
Not sure why its in two parts (perhaps to eliminate some friction?), I bought one of these a while ago for a bike that had brazed on guides, but I wanted to put dura ace AX parts on it, and the rear derailleur would only accept cables routed in this manner. The one I bought, the fd guide was just one piece, did the same thing though
