Hard to tell unless you post a picture of the entire frame, and any components still installed. There's not enough to go on.

I believe a Traveler would have come with the four digit date code stamped in the headbadge. The crank will be a helpful clue. Any decals left? The style of "Schwinn" is usually a good clue to narrow the years.

Bikes: '75 Schwinn Paramount P-10, '86 Ritchey Commando, '87 Schwinn Cimarron, '91 Trek 990, '87 Schwinn High Sierra, '73 Schwinn Super Sport, '4? Schwinn New World, '76 Swing Bike.

The serial number and color say '87 Traveler.
