any jtek users out there??

so i finally got around to installing my jtek shiftmate but something just doesn't seem right. Should the shiftmate device and nipple be held together somehow? It just slides around and is really only held together by the derailleur cable??? There is no grove in the device that holds the nipple in place.

Just to clarify, i've inserted the housing into the jtek shiftmate device's hole. The cable exits the device on the bottom where the nipple just butts up against it. This nipple is then inserted into the derailleur body where housing generally sits.

thanks
