I don't know for sure, maybe about a 1985 Super Prestige or Professional, but you got a great deal if that's the bike on Craigslist in Houston. I was frantically trying to get a hold of my sister in Austin this morning to buy it for me, but we obviously didn't connect in time.

Of course Caterham is correct, I'm the guesser. A DeRosa newbie to be sure I am, but I still love these bikes. Sure was fun trying to get this up to Minnesota today, got the blood racing for an hour or two. Hope you like it.

It does have the set screw as the seat binder. So is this not on the desirable list as far as DeRosa's go ? Here are some more close ups.

Good morning gwhunter! I did a little digging on the wooljersey site and a couple of other sites. I came up with this link id'ing a bike that is somewhat similar to yours. This model was id'ed by owner as a DeRosa 1982 "Aero" as Caterham suggested. I have no idea whether this Aero owner's info is accurate or not, just thought you might like to take a look.

I haven't been chasing/riding DeRosas as long as some of these folks. Ask questions here and someone always seems to help. Enjoy your new bike.
Cheers,
Grady

I saw that, and had just put a set of new tires on my Ramcharger that very day! Otherwise I might be asking what year it is. Good catch!!

Nice to know, but as an ex-racer, not a collector, I am often quite dense about these matters. Very nice bike though.

Looks more as if the post has been slipping. I'd check the threads on both bolt and frame before anything else. Pronto.Originally Posted by SJX426
