Laid back 1955 New Hudson + 62 Custom Raleigh Police bike!
This pre Raleigh 1955 New Hudson was bought merely for its BSA components. (3 speed hub, trigger, lamp bracket etc.) It was rough!!!
But, looking at the frame later it was so nice I had to do 'something' with it.
The rims were 'shot' and here it has later Raleigh wheels.
I have never seen a more relaxed frame from the 50s.
It looks 30s to me.
BSA chain-wheel with New Hudson pedals, good chrome etc. it was ust crying out for some attention.
Got some cream Schwalbe Delta Cruisers in transit, and the original guards are available. I just prefer it without guards.
It was originally fitted with rod brakes, but calipers enable more imaginative bars.
I love the reversed North Roads as fitted here.
Was out on the road in the last week with my 1962 slightly customised Raleigh Police Bike...
The cream Delta Cruisers 'make' the Raleigh for me and the NH is getting a pair too!

Weirdly cool, or coolly weird?
Well, cool, at the very least, anyway.

Viscount? Where you been!
Nice bikes. They need mudguards, though.
