Special Bike On eBay
Folks over at RBR have put together a special bike for sale as a fund raiser. You can read about it in the description.
Bid high and bid often if you can afford it.

You can also donate to Collin and his family by purchasing a "Team Collin" bike decal for $5, $10 or $25 and all proceeds will be forwarded to Collin and his family.

Everything on the bike was donated, and I'm sure they would be happy to take a different stem if you'd like to donate a nicer looking one.
Honestly, I don't see any point in criticizing a charity build.

...but all the Positive critisicm so far is welcomed right?

Honestly why even post it if you're gonna get your nose bent outta shape because someone thinks the seatpost is too high and another doesn't like the stem. Why even care if anyone likes it or not

Interesting idea. The bike looks pretty good, but I agree that a few of the bits don't 'hang together' as nicely as they could. I think a charity build is just as worthy of a critique as any other bike. They are just observations and opinions, nothing more, and everything I read in this thread seemed civil enough.

Guys (mostly) - think about this. If you knew a little guy who was facing Collin's future, and you were trying to drum up a little support to help his chances, how would you feel to see the criticisms? I think most of you would be a bit annoyed. Just because you can find a nit to pick (or worse in one case that I had to clean up here), doesn't mean you need to point it out. I know some of you may have been trying to be helpful, but presentation can matter.
"I think the bike might bring in a little more if it was pictured with the seat a little bit lower" - sent in a PM, is likely going to be better received than "that seat post is ready to fall out" posted in the open forum. (Sorry to use you as an example Kurt)
Again, not that anyone's done anything wrong, but given the type of thread, it's not in the best form.

Folks,
I'm the builder of the bike. The reason that the seatpost is high is that these were initial build pix I posted on the RBR site. I had the seatpost high so I could clamp it in my workstand to build the bike. I took it outside and took a few pictures to show in our forums as soon as I had finished it. The ebay pictures show it lowered and the stem inverted. And the stem and spacers are left on so that whoever buys the bike can cut it to their size.
If you folks have nothing better to do than bash a bike instead of seeing the good that is being done then I really feel sorry for you. Collin has been fighting for his life, which has barely begun and this is your response? Many of my friends and myself have spent our time and money to build up something to help him and his family.
Thanks for the encouragement from those of you with hearts. As for the rest of you, when someone you love needs help from strangers, think of what you've said.
I'm done with bikeforums.net, good evening.

I believe that there is not one member here who given the means would hesitate for a moment to bid on this bike just to help out and then promptly give it back so it could be auctioned off again!
that being said I understand the angst of those who are closer to the matter than the average member... but that they must take into account that this is the internet and thus should accept all comments with a grain of salt and appreciate the advertisement that the medium offers it!!!
A spotlight shows all of a subjects beauty and bumps....both will be observed and noted!!!!

My 13 year-old daughter just finished two-and-a-half years of treatment for Leukemia. Good luck with the auction and best wishes to Collin and his family!

What you guys have done is very special.
Don't let some dingbats discourage your hard work.
I hope the little boy gets better soon.
