clues on a Carrera

I am mulling this purchase (though long distance so I can't check threads and stuff -- even if I knew what to look for).

Could be Italian-made. Tubing is apparently Columbus, components are Campagnolo Athena.
I've read that Carrera team used Battaglin-produced bikes but when would Carrera have branded bikes as their own?

can anyone provide any background information or pedigree clues?

Peter

The bikes were made by Battaglin but were branded Carrera instead of Battaglin starting in 1989.

Wasn't Carrera orgionally a jeans company? Remember the pseudo denium bib shorts the team wore at one point in time?

Windsor Carrera was a 70s model by Windsor, a mexican bike company. Carrera was the model name. Nothing to do with this bike.
