Pretty Legnano Roma Olympiade (not mine) spotted in the wilds of Pasadena on the monthly vintage ride (1st Sunday every month).

Sorry about the weird lighting.

Merckx downtown

Bike messenger Merckx frame (Strada?) downtown Chicago. Looks pretty beat but probably a pretty nice frame... looks like my size as well :)

Thanks for posting! :thumb:

A fine looking steed.

Lighting no problem.

What is wonky is that Benotto (or whatever it is!) wrap.

Boy does it look out of place.

This simple Motocane, while nothing extraordinary, did beacon taking a moment out however. Sweet little bicycle imo.

Thanks very much for posting!

These modest model Motobecane (also Orly, Astra, Dynamax & Motoconfort) machines of the 1960's and early 1970's exhibit an interesting combination frame construction of lugged head paired with lugless seat and shell (CH thread).

What is missing on this one is the chrome winged M fork crown cap. Perhaps someone did not care for it and removed it when HS was repacked...

Nice little GT seen in the old 'hood when we went over this evening. Very good condition.

Seen during a walk at James River Park today, a nice orange Stumpjumper Sport from the pre-indexing era; it still has the Shimano Light Action thumbies on it but somebody geared it up with larger chainrings.

Spotted a parked Specialized Cross Roads yesterday; not sure of the vintage, likely early/mid '90s, but cromo all the way, in very good condition, and just exactly my size. Husbeast had to pull me away.

Walked by this Vintage inspired Riv Homer Hilsen the other day at my local Coffee shop, always liked those but I can get a whole fleet of C&V for the cost of the frame:D I did test ride its little brother the Sam Hilborne once and it put a big grin on my face so I 'm sure the Hilsen would not disappoint.

Saw a really nice Raleigh Super Course today parked outside a store. Looked like it had a lot of miles on it, but had been well cared for. Great to see. Apologies that I don’t have a picture.

No pic here either, I was lucky to catch back up with the guy after he passed me, 80's Marinoni, medium light blue, dark livery, fastback seatstays at the top. Very cool. ;)

Looked like a pretty neat bike at one point...but the cycle cannibals have had their way.

Sweet lil early Trek in front of the grocery store. Anyone know which model we might be looking at here?

Can't you see the stem? It's clearly a Diamond Back. :p

It’s clearly set up to accommodate its proud owner. It’d look be quite a different build if I were fortunate enough to have it.

^Trek 850. Their original MTB, I believe.

850... So that’s the model number of the I didn’t know I wanted! Thanks.

Saw this Sirrus in front of the fancy grocery store in my neighborhood, might even be my size. A red Allez or Sirrus is on my watch list in 58cm

That was Trek's very first mountain bike, a 1983 Trek 850. FWIW, they were built with an unusually low bottom bracket and I have seen a few of them configured into touring bikes.
