For the Italian Lovers: Reynolds 531 Legnano Gran Premio

No particular reason for this post other than we've got a snowstorm bearing down from the Rockies and I'm bored.....

As I sit here w/ my hot chocolate, I thought it would be fun to share some Italian steel w/ you good folks....Which is actually British steel....I think you get my point though....

From the Emilio Bozzi era, Campagnolo dropouts/microadjusters, Italmanubri seatpost, Gipiemme downtube shifters, Weinmann 700C concave rims drilled for Presta only, Universal Super 68 brakes/levers, Ofmega Mistral crankset/BB/headset/hubs.
(I just posted it in the C&V Sales ISO/Trade thread so hopefully the new owner will show some "after" photos and we can compare them to these "original/before" pics)

It's kind of fun to see such an eclectic mix of Italian goodness w/ a Reynolds tubeset.....

Why are you offering it for trade? Not your size?

Anyway, nice bike. I look forward to seeing the "after" pics.

Hey thanks for the kind words guys....

Machin Shin, you nailed it. For years I've lusted after the Columbus & Reynolds Legnano's and this is too small for me.
Plus, I'm not sure if you recall but Mrs Bigwoo REALLY put her foot down last year when my collection got up to 28 bikes and the new rules are as follows: "Nothing redundant and for every 1 that comes in I'd like to see 2 go out..."
Basically, I'm really hurting for a good 9spd or 10 spd group right now......That and I'm quite happy to spend more time riding in the Rocky Mountains and less time working on bikes these days.... I don't want my "core group" to start getting out of hand, again. You guys know how that goes....

BTW, Thanks to Tom Stormcrowe for the technical assistance over the last few days.... It's nice to be back
