Pretty handy, IMO. I still carry and use the kit that came with my bike.

The thinness of the stamped wrenches actually makes them perfect for some tasks, like removing the Mafac brake bolt without disassembling the whole brake, and another is just right for holding the axle bearing cone in place while tightening the locknut. I also like the tire irons.

And of course the spoke wrench/double slotted screwdriver w/ 2 hex cut-outs has to be the coolest stamped tool ever. >8^)

Closest I've gotten to one was a rotted outer case in horrible shape w/o the tools. The plastic case was in such poor shape, I had to toss it.

I picked up a NOS one at a swap for $5, the contents still wrapped in paper. Jan Heine uses the wrenches in his minimal rando kit.

Combo tire irons box/open wrenches. Carry with spare tube on my rando touring bike.

I got one with my Gitane Interclub back around '72, as well as the Velox tubular repair kit.

I wonder if my mother still has mine from 35-40 years ago. She hasn't thrown anything out, ever. I'll have to check next time I'm over.
