Let's start out by me saying that I know that this is a semi zombie thread. There is a reason for that. Ryffranck frames have elite status amongst Quebec cyclists. However they are not well known elsewhere. I have owned a Marinoni. I own a Bertrand, also a Limongi. Never a LeCrocco. In Quebec, Ryffranck bikes are legendary and not just because of how rare they are. I have a friend who wanted a bike designed for extremely long cranks. His Ryffranck was built for 225 mm crank arms

Back in 1997, Bicyclist magazine covered Cycles Ryffranck with a nice write-up. He started building frames at age 60, so that doesn't leave a lot of time to develop a well known reputation. I suppose the maturity of a 60 year old does permit the discipline to pay attention to details and do great work.
