Had an unusually good week finding bikes. Found seven road bikes in the last seven days, including two hard to find XS frames. In my experience, those are the two best flips out of the seven.

I've posted several of the bikes in the catch of the day, but I just got another real nice one yesterday. Maybe I am paying too much because all of these bikes were for sale for several days. This last one I waited all week before finally taking another bike road trip. Maybe other people have stopped buying. I guess I will figure it out when bike selling season starts as the inventory is definitely high.

The point of this is there are bikes out there, particularly during the off season, at prices I consider very attractive. And they are staying out there for several days, allowing someone outside the area (in this case me), to drive over and pick them up. Five came off of C/L. Some are donor/project level, others are pretty ready to go.

The latest one was a 1987 Terry Despatch. Indexed Suntour Cyclone shifting, Tange 1 frame, made in Japan. It sat on C/L for a week at a price I thought was pretty reasonable, then it got reposted at a lower more attractive price.

3. Next is a 1984? Bianchi basket case, with Ofmega and Campy parts, its coming together nicely. (Picture posted elsewhere). Frame is questionable, so I may just end up with some parts for the bin. We'll have to see.

I have 2 bikes listed for the last 2 weeks with only 2 emails and no takers.

On a positive note,I've had 5 (Five!!) job Interviews in those 2 weeks.

Job interviews are a lot more important than bikes for sure!

Bikes are slow right now, but it was been a wet and cold winter around here.

Michaell, the bikes should shift with a bit more time. Well done getting the job interviews - I hope one turns into the position you are seeking - life's pretty difficult for a lot of people at present.

Slim pickin's on even halway decent finds latley although I do have aover full stable.

Nice haul, Bill! It seems that you have a lot of space I am at minus 3 the last 10 days (and this is a good thing because there was really not much room left and have a couple of on-going projects)

Bikes are ridiculously slow right now around here. It took me a good 2 months to finally send an MTB to a better home and I have a Raleigh up at a below market price for 2 weeks with minuscule bites. Give it another couple months or so when the temps will get at 50-60 up here and then it will be a different story...
