hello I just got a blue and white bike with Hawk on chanl guard with Hawk headbadge, single speed, Troxel saddle bllue and white bike is in good shape. would like to find how to get age of the bike . AMF is on seat tube, made in Litte Rock Ark. thanks

Bikes: NOYB

The brand is AMF (American Machine and Foundry,) and the model is Hawk. They made all kinds of sporting goods in the 70's and 80's. Sold through department or hardware stores, I think.
No idea how to nail down an exact age. I'm not even sure if they bothered with model years.

AMF was trying to ruin Harley Davidson around the same time. But have fun with your find. I didn't know anyone had a bicycle plant in Little Rock. That's probably a piece of history right there.

I seem to remember that AMF owned Head (tennis racquets) as well at the time. I loved my Arthur Ashe Comp II (or was it III?)
