Help identify this Bianchi

Hey guys, I'm looking at picking this Bianchi up and wondered if anyone had any info on it from this images...All I know aside from the images is that the frame is 19" and the wheels are alloy either 700c or 27"

Any help would be great...also, do you think it's too rusted or could I just get it re-painted?

That's pretty rough. The rear wheel is junk, the crank may be bent- How much do they want for it?

OMG what a mess! how much do they want for that? judging by the color, the style of decal, the blackish tubing decal, and the world champ decal, I think the frame is a '86 Sport SX. Tange DB tubing w/ mangalloy stays. the "Bianchi" on the fork crown doesn't really match shoulf just be a "B" but nothing else on this seems to be original

unless it it is close to free I would stay away

Man...unless you are a glutton for punishment you might want to turn and run on that one. Unless you have a doner bike...spokes are rusted which means cleaning the wheels up is not going to happen so you will need new wheels. Powdercoating it new around $100.00. New cables, probably tubes/tires, and all the cleaning you are going to have to do to components....$75-80. (Gallon of Simple green =$12.00)

Craigslist can do you better than that. Just wait and be patient. I might offer him $40.00 just to save the frame and crankset, handlebars. Then take my time fixing it up. NO WAY $100.00 though. I can find bikes in way better condition for less work...you can too!

I agree with the Sport SX opinion.
Frames with a one-piece lug at the headtube like that are usually smaller than 19" though. I'd guess that it's more like 18". Good for someone under 5' tall.

I knew it was in pretty rough shape but I might pass. Didn't know the wheels weren't worth saving. He is asking $90CAD, I was thinking of offering $40 but then we'd probably end up at $60.

Thanks for your speedy help on this one...Was hoping for a diamond in the rough, looks like it's a turd.

I would not go that far, more like cut glass or cheap CZ *giggle*. for 40-60, if the frame does not have rust, is not too bad. but this looks more like a big project than an easy to fix up rider

actually I cant believe i didn't notice but my girlfriends is a little different has drop bars and what looks like lesser quality derailers then the suntour 4000. her are shimano, but I cant quite make out the sub catagory. sugino vp cranks, virtually the same bike only taller and a road bike no name listed just says bianchi and has the Campione stickers, cro-mo. I've got more to talk about so please get back to me. my bianchis have always had little mysteries behind them and I never knew the specifics
