Classic with all the modern conveniences!

OK, maybe not, but I just happened upon this Taiwanese product:
https://www.taipeicycle.com.tw/en_US/...2D96FF9F85B4CA

I'd think about them if I actually wore dress shoes at work.

I like the thought... but I cannot think of an occasion where I would feel the need for both formal dress shoes AND riding clipless pedals. The cleat does not appear to be recessed and I assume the soles are extra stiff so I doubt anyone would want to wear them for a full work day.

Bikes: Too many to list, all titanium or steel.

The Mormon missionaries would love those! Can you walk in them?

I like the idea. Someone once posted a link to a page with a bunch of shoes that had been SPD-ized, including a pair of ladies pumps. I'm thinking of going to my local shoe repair guy and ask what it would take. Probably adding another outer sole to the existing outer sole.

Still, PowerGrips are pretty good and won't scuff any shoe.

Oh my God, those are ugly!

I particularly like the 1/2" winter welt for kicking in doors Dragnet style.

I'm with mkeller234, why do you need nice shoes that you can't walk in?

Depends on whether the cleat in the former shoes are recessed or not. Looks it. Wouldn't make any point otherwise.

I'd like to see that! I think that would be good for everyone involved (especially the little kids to see their Pastor riding up with his robes flapping in the breeze), I can't imagine anything that could put you in a better mood and clear out any stress that you might feel prior to holding services.

Of course I might be a little sweaty and possibly have a bad case of helmet hair, which might make the kids stay away from my weekly "Time with the Children."

I've ridden in Florscheim dress shoes before...it's never been a problem because I have platform pedals or cages...It seems that the problem is not with the shoe, but with the foot retention device, and NEEDING a special shoe...

Yeah, and those have a large solid ridge on the bottom, it looks like they take spd-sl style cleats. This may not be fair... but I don't see why you would use clipless shoes on a bike like that. I see he commutes on it, so I guess that is a decent reason... it just seems a little funny.

There's plenty of opportunities in Portland. You could go for ride with this gal, for instance:

I am sure my wife would be thrilled about that! Maybe she would start riding a bike with me then, to make sure I wasn't up to anything?
