Resources for Centurion Ironman decals?
Does anyone know of any contact for trying to get a set of Centurion Ironman Dave Scott ('85 or '86 I think) decals, reproductions would be just fine. I think I need to have this frame repainted and there is rust in many small places, and I'd like to protect and preserve it before I build it up. Here's a photo just after I got it.

I don't see the rust you speak of in that photo... are you certain it's bad enough that it needs a repaint?

IMHO, that bike doesn't need a repaint. but it's your bike...
as for decals, this guy does good work: https://www.velocals.com/servlet/StoreFront

AH! I thought that looked familiar, that's the Ironman that was on Minneapolis CL back on 3/11 or so. Here's the high-res pic of that beauty (that I got from the seller):

(direct link so you can get the big one...)
OP, you in the Minneapolis area? Sure doesn't look like a repaint to me either.

I'd not paint it. Both of those colors have a close Toyota match. It's also a clear-coated frame, better left as is and touched up. The "break" in the signature is supposed to be there. Advice is free, and IMHO, the bike will be better for it.

sounds like maybe I won't paint it. It's hard to see from the photo, but there's areas of bubbling paint around each of the top tube cable guides and for stretches under where the top tube cable runs, peeling paint around the top of the seat tube, and small areas around the bottom bracket. They are smallish, I was concerned that they will continue to grow as I'm not sure how to stop them without sanding the rust away which seems like it will (even if I try not to) make my retouching areas increase in size and ugliness. Thanks for the replies.
