Belt seat

Purchased a Fuji-Special Racer from a guy at my church. It has a Belt brand seat-looks like a B-17 Brooks. I cannot keep the bolts under the seat tightened. They are very hard to get to, and it looks like the front one adjusts the level of the seat and and i assume you tighten the back to lock it in position. Thanks for any help in advance!

A 10mm combo box/open ended wrench and a fair amount of patience will do the trick. You've got your work cut out for you if you are trying this with a crescent wrench or something.

You more or less have the theory right, although I'll continue to tweak the front bolt as I tighten it up.

Assuming you have a typical 2 bolt seatpost, you have to access the bolts from the rear of the saddle. Again, get a small wrench 10mm w/box and open ends. That will do the trick, but it still takes a while since you can only turn about 1/8 of a turn or so with each wrench stroke.

That's the one I use, too. Maybe you told me about it, Scott!

That makes me look at my poor little generic 10mm box wrench in abject disgust and humiliation... I'm gonna have to get one of those.
