Please help me to identify this frame!

I need to know if someone has any info about the following frame

Campy and Galli mix, no stamps or other marks on seatstays or bb, neither at fork.

Rear and front dropouts are campy, a small red piece of columbus sticker with the old white logo
at the bottom.
Any info or thought will help

Sorry, I also meant to say it's a cool looking bike. It should clean up beautifully.

Thank you Devinfan for the reply. But as far as I know Rigi used to have a twin vertical tube. That don't match my case.
I'm in an dead end certainly its not a Rossin maybe an early Riggio, Romani or Raysport?
Same more specific details:
The tube set is either a Columbus SPX or SL. Early Campy Record brakes and shifters. Galli front and rear derailleur.
A mixed crank set with a 54 Campy Record crank and 42 Galli.
Galli seat post and Cinelli stem and handlebar with Campy headset.
The frame is about 1.500gr. with fork. The sharp geometry indicates a sport bike 55cc x 55cc. Also the lugs have very clean and sharp edges no smoothing whatever.
Italian frame builders didn't use to do that. It looks more like a custom order to same kind of a small manufacturer.
Up to now the frame is going to be stripped from every part including color removal by a very good friend and excellent frame painter
who is gonna repaint the frame and fork. As a graphic designer I can redesign the head budge but I don't have a clue about the brand.
Please any ideas about the origin are gonna be cheerfully accepted!

hmmm, Raysport might be a good guess, but how about "Romic" the Texas-based framebuilder...

to the best of knowledge Rigi only made one frame style in '80/'81 and that was the twin seat tubed Criterium model. sorry I do not have the real headbadge but it actually says Rigi on it

Definitely not a Rigi and I don't think it a Romic headbudges don't match.
Mine has a hoop from laurels and an R inside it. The laurel design has an Italian flag also.
That make things more complicated!
I'm afraid that I face the work of a ghost bike company!
I hope when the color is being removed the frame may tell me its secrets.
Until then any suggestions are more than welcome!

that's a super record headset...be careful with it when you remove it.

My first thought was Rampar, but they never made anything that would have Campy on it. Now I'm curious!

maybe was built for a shop like a private label. perhaps the "R" has nothing to do with the builder

The BB cell has the typical Columbus 2 diagonical cuts but no serial number only a 2 digit mark first number is 0 I can recall now the second one

The friend who is responsible for the removal of the parts and the painting job works like a sergeant so no worries!

This is a good senario about this frame. In that case a shop's or a cycling team's logo of this era will make identification almost impossible

the BB cups are english? are there thread markings on the headset? and BB cups?

Seatpost sizes go to one more decimal place, and customarily are in mm.

Sizes could be 26.6, 26.8, 27.0, 27.2 or 27.4, and each infers that a certain type of tubing was used - which was why I inquired. I wish I still had my "Buyer's Guide". It has hundreds and hundreds of makers listed. Might help with the ID here.

Romani. There were quite a few in the Seattle area years back, and that's the same headtube decal.

Yes the BB cups are english surprise - surprise my mechanic lost his voice when he open it. The bottom bracket is a Campy Nuovo record in excellent condition. The headset is also a threaded Nuovo

Any picture please! Later Romani' s from early 90's have an eagle design decal. I have no idea for the 70s models

Only pic i can find is one of an "83, and though it has an "R" on the headtube, it's a different font. Other Romanis from later have even more different fonts, so the inconsistency may be something in favor of this possibility. Romani also built frames under contract for shops and teams, but most of the forkcrowns have an "R" engraved.

I don't know what you mean by the "2 diagonal cuts" in the Cinelli BB shell: how about a pic of that?
It would be very odd for an Italian builder from this era to use a BSC BB...can you check the inside base of the steerer for the 5 spiral splines that would indicate a Columbus steerer?
More pics of all the details: seatcluster, brake bridge, dropouts, forkcrown, etc. would be helpful.

These are the only other pictures I have up to the moment. I gave the bike to the "doctor" as I already mention so any other pics after the sand blast process.

I wrote diagonical? Hmm another stupid mistake of me I post a pic (BB Cuts.jpg) from another frame I found on the net its like that without the cable guides. The stem is still in place so I cant tell anything for the tubes except the existence of a Columbus sticker. Probably SPX or SL part of the sticker are missing (its the old one with the Columbus name at the bottom) Also same traces of a black decal under it.

OK, I think you mean the BB has 2 thin oval slots, but you say the cable guides are on the top of the BB shell on yours...I don't have anything I can hang an ID on at this time, sorry, but the drop-out to chainstay detail looks a little distinctive, maybe some of the other details will be unique, too.

Still I have doubts.
Α Romani frame made special for a cycling shop is more like my case.
Also there was a dealer of the brand at my city.
I'm gonna ask him (he's still an active cycling dealer) if he recognize the frame.

though your pic is very blurry, it does look like it could be the same...I'd call it a Romani and say: "case closed".

Finally a friend of mine went to the old dealer of Romani.
The gay was amazed.
He identify the logo as a 70's Romani.
He also provided an 80s version of decals. He had only 2 sets!

Yes I can say now case closed.

Its been a long time since my last post but many things happened.
My country's economy went to hell my job is at risk and I'm trying to restore my house :bang:.
Anyway here are same photos from my Romani frame after the sandblasting.
Photos taken with a cell phone so the quality isn't great.
We also respaced from 125mm to 130mm in order to use a 9speed cassette.

Next step is to re-chrome the fork and rear drops and seat stays.
