NJS Campagnolo BB compatibility question (need quick reply please)
Can someone confirm whether my early 90s Campy Record cranks are compatible with a Campy NJS bottom bracket? I know there is a lot of debate about Campy BB spindle tapers, and from what I can tell NJS is usually designated for track parts. Is there any reason why I could not use an NJS Campy Record BB spindle with my road cranks.
The BB in question has a square taper, 111mm spindle, as shown here:

My cranks (which I believe are early 90s Campy Record) are shown here:

In case it's not legible, the codes on the crank are [A2] on the left arm and [71] on the right arm.
Many thanks for your advice.

Maybe it was a dumb question. Anyway, I went ahead and bought the BB assuming it's the standard Campagnolo taper.

I'm only guessing based on late 80's date codes, but my guess is that 71=1991, then possibly A2 = 1992. [one year off mixes are common].
The earlier 70-80's Pista spindles were 109mm, not sure about later.
The tapers pre'94 are all the same.

Thanks, miamijim & Ex Pres. Sounds like I should be okay, but I'll report back if I have any problems.
