1993 Bridgestone MB-2
Just purchased this 1993 Bridgestone MB-2. Geometry is the same as the MB-1 and the frame material is "mostly" the same minus the chainstays and seatstays. My plan is to put on the newer Rivendell Bullmoose bar and some Schwabe Big Apples.

It's this one, right? https://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/bik/1723853563.html. And goodness, that is one beautiful fork.
Dallas has been my favorite spot to pick up bikes - got a $250 Team Miyata there, and almost went for a $75 Bridgestone 400 too. Then again, I live in Austin, and any market has gotta be better than the inflated market here...

It is that one. It is being shipped to me. It looks to be in great shape and those forks are amazing. I have been wanting one for awhile. This bike with Big Apples promises to be great.

They came stock with 2.1" tires. I am thinking about going to a 60mm Schwalbe Big Apple. That just seems like it would be killer.

I figured I would update this. I got the Schwalbe Big Apples on it, added MKS Sneaker pedals (my favorites), and also a Nitto small front rack. I don't love the handlebars/stem so I am definitely going to get some of the Bullmoose bars. Sadly Rivendell is out of them right now and I can't find any used. There are some on ebay but they have the brake cable hangers and I prefer not to have that because I don't need it. Riv's are the best because they have the nicest sweepback. Anyway....

The front canti brakes need readjusted as I messed with them while adding the rack.

FWIW, someone is selling some bullmoose bars on ebay for $25. They had 4 of them last time I looked. Probably not as nice as the Rivendells, especially if they are some off brand, but it might be an option.

I saw those and they are actually Nitto brand but they have the cable hangers attached and I would like a set without that. I asked him if he had any of the style without it and he did not.
I missed an older Nitto set earlier on ebay. It was "or best offer" but someone hit buy it now right before he was ready to accept my offer.
