suggestions on stripping and repainting my miyata

suggestions on stripping and repainting my miyata

I really would like to re paint my bike but have never done it before I'm just looking for suggestions on how to go about stripping the paint and maybe brands of paints to use

Thats a nice bike...its worthy of good paint work.

Try an auto-body shop IMO...they can do it better and more durable and generally for not too much more than all the $$ you'll spend on paint and supplies.

you can always Touch it up now to stop the rust and decide later.

Thanks for the link. So what did u end up doing? This is my first real bike also so I don't wanna mess it up considering I don't really know what I'm doing but I kind of am wanting a project to work on. How would I go about carefully stripping the paint? If the procedure is too difficult ill just go to an auto body shop. But ild like to know how to go about it
