3 speed hub indicator chain , nice story inside about LBS around here!

none of the 9 shops around me carry those, 2 of the places, the mechanics/sellers have never heard about that or sturmey-archer, they didnt even knew about internally geared hubs

out of the 7 more knowledgeable shops, only one told me they could order the part cause it is not in stock, would take up to 2 weeks to get it and a cost of around 35$ (i can attest the price as he did show me the list in his part book and removed 20% from the price indicated in there)

are these little chain really that expensive and hard to find ?

The worst thing is I only need that part to test a hud if it is in working order (picked a bike with the wrong wheels on it and it is a 3 speed hub/rear wheel that was on there) I want to know if it works as i have a frame an use for those wheels!

Nobody sells an indicator chain for $35. He tried to cheat you.

They're readily available online from many sources and they're always on eBay.

Did he offer to kiss you or any lube before having money exchange hands? Because if you took him up on it that is going to be one hell of a ****. That is just about a 1000% markup.
