I actually did thin down by three bikes, lots of parts and three frames...you can actually see things in the bicycle room again besides bikes. I've also been successfully resisting temptation. I managed not to buy a $700 titanium Samson with 10sp campy record and ti calipers. I resisted Mel's beautiful Koga-Miyata full pro. The really hard non-buy was Jim's chromed Paramount...that thing was just absolutely beautiful. I passed up a $50 british step through town and country (I can't remember the brand, but it was an odd one...looked like a rebadged Raleigh) with an integrated coaster/3sp rear hub.
Like others have said...I've been spending too much time buying, selling and meeting people and not enough time on the bikes I have. I always bought and sold primarily to fund the hobby and keepers, but I don't really need anymore (I would like a stand out French bike) and I'd like to focus on riding again. I was averaging over 200 miles a week two summers ago...I dropped to 100ish last summer and I was at under that until I started ramping it up a couple weeks ago (in my defense, some of that was because of some injuries).
