Help me identify what i rode
ok, so this past week we had a local parade. I'd gone to my LBS and asked if they needed riders. The day of, I showed up and was presented with this unique ride.
The shop owner said it was a 60ish year old production bike. It had a steering wheel, front piston like shocks, nice sprung seat, flat feet stance, rear coaster brake, and a front drum brake. Im sorry but the photo I got currently is really bad but gives an idea on its layout.

It only took be about 40mins to get used to the steering wheel and could ride it well. Now im addicted to it's uniqueness and what to build a modern version.

Bikes: Giant Excursion, Raleigh Sports, Raleigh R.S.W. Compact, Motobecane? and about 20 more! OMG
I remember seeing those in a shop back in the late 60's, I think it may not be as old as the owner thinks it is. I also remember seeing several customs built along those lines by other kids in my neighborhood, the hang out place was a small in town salvage yard...
