My New Bikes

I bought these bikes a while back and have not had a chance to ride them yet.

The Club Fuji was a CL find last fall and is in as new condition. The previous owner claimed his cousin rode this bike around the block a few times and decided to buy something different. Frame is Ishiwata Feather SI 35 triple butted ChroMo channeled tubing w/full rx 100 group. Tires are in great condition as well.

The Dave Scott Centurion Master Ironman was my brothers. While stationed out at 29 Palms in the 80s he purchased this new and competed in several tri's with it. It is Tange 1 w/full 600 Tricolor and was well cared for. These tires will likely need replacing.

I've never really owned a road bike per se, always leaned more towards the MTB and SS riding. I will continue the MTBing but the SS road rides are beginning to wear on me.

r0ckh0und - you certainly could not go wrong with those! Nice.

(You need to raise the seat on the Fuji though.)

Now that you have two great roadbikes there is no turning back ! Enjoy !

Nice Club...khatfull approved!

My Tiara uses the same tubing...you should like the ride. I like mine:

I also have a 88 Club, a few years older than yours, in the queue (courtesy of a forum member):

And I have an 85 Club that I'm still trying to decide a disposition for (it's too small for me). It's either going to a forum member or off to local CL:

I just pulled these out of hibernation yesterday and put my Brooks Swift on the Centurion. I also have a set of tires for it. Think I'll give it a go first, but yes, the seat needs to come up on the Fuji as well.

khatfull.........that family of Fuji's is absolutely gorgeous! I was under the impression that mine was about a 90/91 with the RX100 group.

Thanks, and I would agree with the RX100. The Tiara above was upgraded from a 6-speed drivetrain to a full RX100 group (right down to the hubs). BIG difference. I really like the RX100. Supposedly it's the same as the 105 of the day, except in a silver finish rather than the champagne color of the 105.

Yours could very well be the '91: https://classicfuji.com/1991_39_Specifications4_Page.htm https://classicfuji.com/1991_33_ClubFuji_Page.htm

Catalog lists it with the full RX100 group. Look at the second link...looks like '91. We don't have a'90 catalog available...so who knows, but it definitely looks dead on the '91.

How come you don't list all of these beauts in your signature, Keith? If you're going to link one, you should link them all!

1) The blue/white (88) Club is stashed at a client until I "clear some room" so I'm not officially "on" it yet.
2) The red (85) Club is small for me so I'm not riding it...it will either go to a forum member or off to CL. If I weren't traveling for business next week I'd be looking at boxing the red Club up...

The blue/white Club, however, is exactly the same geometry as the Tiara, same tubing too, so the ride should be very similar. They're almost duplicates but when the opportunity arose to acquire it from Bianchigirll I had to jump on it even though all the stalls in the stable were full

However, my wife has become more "flexible" since I revamped the garage and put 9 sets of bike hooks in the ceiling (we keep kids bikes until they're outgrown by all of them)...I need to turn another Tiara I'm working on right now (should be finished tonight and it's an 88 as well, the different color variant) and when that's gone I'll bring the 88 Club home. 700x19 tires....sheesh

I finally have the comfort zone dialed in on the Centurion with a shorter stem, Scott bars and new new rubber. The Scott bars make a world of difference on my back.
