it's in the main forum, just below C&V

Good move, it seems like people who aren't regulars never see that forum and just post in C&V for price inquiries.
repechage, look at the bottom of the C&V forum listing, right below the page numbers and you'll see a little drop-down box that says "Classic & Vintage" if you click on that box it will pop up a list of all the other forums and you can jump directly to any forum right from that little popup list.

I rarely ever check any other sections of the forums. I'll probably not be perusing appraisals anymore.

Yeah, not to many members seem to check the trade forums either, but they are all over the pay it forward! LOL!

It may have been unintentional, but it's not a bad move. Sometimes we get requests for newer bike appraisals. I wonder if there should be a standalone forum for all appraisals. The upside is it keeps appraisals out of the discussion forums.
The downside is, the experts tend to reside in each forum so currently if you want an appraisal on a 2003 Cannondale R-400 you go to the Road Forum, for a 1985 Nishiki Custom Sport, right here and for a 2005 Trek 4500, the MTB forum.
Just a thought.

I don't know if it's possible to have it simultaneously be it's own, and also a Sub-forum. I've asked if this is possible. We'll see how it works out.

I agree with the name change, but think that it should stay within C and V. I never go anywhere else. People will get fed up with minimal response and try and post in the main body of C and v anyway. Best to keep it a sub-forum, methinks.

+1. I was wondering if they could put a link to it, even as a sticky or something somewhere in C&V if it wouldn't be possible to do it as you suggested.
I fear that the already low traffic in the appraisal section will all but slow to a halt now. Like many others I'm sure, I almost never stray far from C&V and would occasionally check (or post in) the appraisal section while perusing the general C&V forum. I doubt I will go there at all now as I simply won't think of it.
