Today was my first ride this Spring. It felt good to ride! It's time to lose my winter layer. The bike is a Giant Cadex 980c and is in nearly the condition that I bought it.

Bump!
I've noticed some new members out there who'd probably like to share a little about themselves/their rides.
Lets see them!

Me and my Soma Stanyan build. This was in 2009 just before the first trial. A couple of months later I fell off and separated my shoulder.
The Stanyan now has VO fenders installed.

Thanks for the compliment on the bike. It is a nice ride and I enjoyed building it. Last year I got the building urge again and I bought an old Trek frameset on ebay, stripped and repainted it and built it up using a lot of VO parts. It too is very nice but I have decided that building using new components is way too expensive. I have subsequently bought two vintage Miyatas (an '84 710 and an '88 312) and I recently bought a Nashbar Toure M/T that is mid 80's vintage. I also have a Giant hybrid bike that I use for riding in the rough (seldom).
I plan to post pictures of the Trek and the Nashbar in future.

Me on a 2010 Vilano SS/FG, really need to shave. And on the 1997 Fuji MX-200 atb. No pics on the 1986 Fuji Allegro or the 2003 Haro Backtrail X1.

My girlfriend and I parked in the wrong spot so, rather than re-pack the bikes on the car, I rode two bikes a couple of miles. My girlfriend's friend thought it was weird and took some video (that is the wind blowing out my shirt, not a beer gut )

We rode from Ft. Payne to Desoto(had just finished the climb before this pic) then on to Little River Canyon and back to Ft. Payne.
me and my Bianchi just before beating the hipsters in an alley cat. I'd just finished a 40 mile ride so I was warmed up)
fall day in Kennamer Cove near Grant Mt.
Maybe I can talk my wife into photographing me on one of my older bikes.

This snapshot was taken in 1973, I think. I have an uncle who worked for a blueprint company at the time, and they could enlarge snapshots into posters. He took the photo, enlarged it, then gave me the poster for a Christmas present that year, if I remember correctly. My wife found the poster in the back of a closet this morning, so I took a digital photo of it.
I was ten or eleven, I'm the one on the bike, that's my younger sister sitting on the ground. The bike was called a Mossberg MX, a little before the term "BMX" was commonly used. It's from the Mossberg gun company, they went into the bike business briefly during the '70's, even offered some "graphite" framed road bikes I believe. It was a huge improvement over the typical banana seat bike, it was built like a tank.
Sorry, but it's the most recent photo I have of myself.

Here's a pic of me from today's D2R2 ride in Western Mass and Vermont. It was my first time doing this ride, and this was taken about 1/3 into the ride. I rode my Shogun 650B conversion. We couldn't have asked for better timing with hurricane Irene: the entire day was cloudy, without too much heat or wind, and the rain held out until about 30 seconds after the end of ride check-in!

^ Southpaw, I'm digging those shoes - what are they? Are they adaptable for clips and straps?

Just purchased a pair of Shimano SPD's on sale at EMS the other day, slightly different model I think, hoping they'd work with toe clips and straps. No such luck. Way too wide for Campy pedals. Barely fit on my Lyotards. Oh well.

Well Biked, that is just an awesome picture. You should put it up in your man cave, if you have one.
