That B210 is nice. But this is something else. Wow. My mom had one just like it. I can remember stretching out in that huge back seat as a kid. That's a real beauty Jim.

This is me and my beloved Fuji. It is my first "restro-mod" and it taught me a lot about bicycles.

Taken last night right before heading to a friends house a few neighborhoods down to meet up before the midnight premier of The Dark Knight Rises. Broken thumb and all.

It's been a while since I posted here, so first, there's a picture of me from approximately 1982.

A few of us rode a century a couple of weekends ago. I did most of it stoking photogravity's tandem.

The journey included a couple of ferry rides.

I was even publicly shamed in the stocks!

About two-thirds of the way into the trip, I left the tandem. aixaix loaned me his super-fine orange Olympia bicycle. It was a treat to ride.

I'd like to think that the last picture looks similar to the first picture, even though they're 30 years apart!

That's a Huret Multito, and it had a BELT drive! No clicks. Utterly silent. I think I still have one lying around.

yup, I had Multitos on a few bikes, with the belt, but we called 'em clickys in my club. Maybe referring to the click sound when resetting them. Mine are all long gone.

Looks to me the only difference between the photos is the slacker head tube angle on the Olympia

Well, that sure brings back memories riding and skating in Memorial Park as a kid in the late forties.

Mr. Howard,
I got the wedding being your son's, it was just my awkward way of saying your beautiful wife still looks young. RLB was pretty skinny and he was a superb actor. You truly look like him, especially with your hair combed back like he did too.

Thank you, my good sir. I actually have gained about 30 pounds in 30 years, but a good portion of it is in bone and muscle. I still sink when I go into a swimming pool. I can't float.

I don't know about the head angles on Michael's Olympia or on my former Atala Competizione. The Olympia is an extremely nimble and responsive bike. That picture was taken from slightly farther behind, which could make it look slacker than the Atala.

I built the Atala mostly of spare parts. See if you can see something quirky on it. You'll see it if you look long enough.

Always a good sign one's putting on the right kind of weight

It could very well be the angle of the photo, but since you pointed the bike out as aixaix's Olympia, I remembered that mine has a pretty shallow head tube when compared to all my other bikes. I figured I was seeing a traditional thing.

I built the Atala mostly of spare parts. See if you can see something quirky on it. You'll see it if you look long enough.
Is that a high-flange front wheel and low-flange back? Or are you speaking of the sidepulls with the cable anchor/QR on the "wrong" side?

Looks like a little bit of drillium on the non-driveside brake lever, too

Here I am out for a ride in Beloit Wisconsin a couple of days ago. Fiddled too long with the camera after actuating the timer.

May as well show my better side too.
