I like this pic!
Great pic, and yes, I noticed the tights! I had the same ones many years back.

Here's a shot of me and my Shogun. It's not a great shot of me (not smiling, like rootboy... something about New Englanders?), but it's the most recent one I can find. This was taken back in September during the Kearsarge Klassic dirt road ride near New London, NH:

The portraits were mom's idea - a few of the kids weren't real keen on it but it all worked out.

It's also the reason I usually build my bikes with what parts I have on hand, etc. I've got one driving now and another starting so the costs just keep going up.

I totally get this!

I wouldn't even run from a rampaging bear; it would get me anyway and I'd just die tired

You don't have to outrun the bear. You just have to outrun the slowest person in your group!

It looks like you were as cold as I was in Denver. It was a whopping 30 degrees when we started and warmed up to 32 by the time we finished. That was my slowest half I've run.

Yep. It was D.C. In early April. Definitely a cold one. I kinda prefer cold when running though.

It is a stunning valley. I have numerous dear friends who live there, and I never tire of visiting.

Wow - I'd say the valleys could be sisters! very similar.

The spookiest part about the Andes there in AC, were the plants/vegetation that covered every inch of the mountains. In certain spots, VERY large spots I must say, the nearly vertical faces of the mountains were bare rock. I thought about it for a minute, and realized those huge bare spots were where large chunks of the mountain had fallen to the valley right where I was standing. Thankfully none broke loose while I was there, but it is still a scary thought. The river that ran through the town, had boulders the size of pickup trucks in it!,,,,BD

Hm, half marathon. I fear my first one this spring. I'd rather have some wheels with it but I got talked into it.

Nice bike; looks like SUNTOUR DT shifters, an not unlike my Schwinn SS (see Schwinn SS for pics). I dunno about the bag on the bars, though! I used to have a similar set-up, which was fine until I hit a bump one day and the bag leapt off its hanger and tried to jam itself in the front wheel! Fortunately I was able to stay on, but if I'd be riding "no-hands" it would have been catastrophic, including a large dental bill!

Thanks, if you look closely though, the bag clips on to the hanger...VERY tightly I might add. You could shake the bike 'till the wheels fall off & that bags not going anywhere

You're talking about cobrabyte's bike, right? That's an old Eclipse, I believe. It originally came with bungie-like cords which were supposed to run from eyelets on the bottom of the bag down to the DOs. Maybe cb's bike has no eyelets or other attachment points on the DOs.
